Random pet peeve.
I LOVE watching YouTubers react to X Japan. Every single time, it takes me back to the first couple of times I heard this band that literally changed my life.
But I wish they wouldn’t use The Last Live.
It’s so hard to explain to someone who isn’t a fan, but without the backstory, without knowing that Yoshiki and Toshi were childhood friends or that Toshi had been brainwashed by a cult or that Hide would die 5 months later, scarring the Japanese rock scene forever… I dunno, I’d just rather something like On the Verge of Destruction or X Japan Returns be your intro and then… have your heart broken properly with the rest of us.
RIP hide, you were truly the best of us. ❤️
