Do you love/hate/don’t feel strongly about this character?I love Ruff a whooole lot oh man ♥♥

What’s your favorite trait of this character?The way she just…literally does not give a fuck. She’s going to be herself and who cares if anyone else approves or not.I think it’s wonderful that she’s so funny and violent and ridiculous. And yet she also has a softer side. She lets both coincide without worrying what people will think. Literally everything about her is great, Ruffnut is an actual gift.

What’s your favorite moment/even involving this character?Unsurprisingly, there are a lot,Particularly those few small moments when she pulls her brother out of harm’s way because I’m a sucker for that stuff. (But then I also love how COMPLETELY DONE with him she is half the time, and the other half she just joins in but anyway. Ruff+Tuff moments are always good because they’re either harming each other or standing peacefully by each other or conspiring together and it’s perfect)…Also I have a special fondness for that scene in RTTE where she is holding gems in her mouth and one of Dagur’s men hits her and forces her to spit them out and she yells at him before forcefully spitting the last one into the back of his throat so he starts chokingAnd who could forget Free Scauldy, which was essentially an entire episode of great Ruff momentsLASTLY I MUST MENTION THIS: “There are other things I wanna say but none of them are very ladylike!”

If you could have one power/attribute/etc. of this character, what would it be?Self-assurance? Yeah.

When did you fall in love/hate with this character? I you don’t have any strong feelings toward them, why not?Well okay, when that one clip for HTTYD2 was first released and people were freaking out about how relatable she was, that was when she first appeared on my radar and I was like “nice” because sameThen like when I finally watched the movies I fell way more in love with her than I ever imagined?? I paid special attention to her and her brother because siblings are my brand and from the moment the “girls like flowers” scene happened I knew they were gonna be great.
