I like to think that tiny spots of sun poke through the underground in a couple of places, but that spot in the ruins is easily the biggest and brightest. And the flowers are so soft. I could easily see Toriel having taken a cat nap there once or twice.

Happy Toriel week! I ended up burning out after the sketch so I put together something that wasn't just black and white lol. I'd like to think her prowess on the battlefield made her one of the most feared monsters in the entire war with her fire magic - I also imagine Grillby as being old enough to at least be alive during the war too! I’m enjoying seeing all of the Toriel love, much love Square ❤️

It’s funny, how much can change over the years :(. I have LOTS of thoughts about the queen Toriel ending and how it must effect her emotionally. At least most of the time she has some friends to support her.

(I personally HC that Toriel didn’t fight in the war and was a young princess who’s parents died before being forced to live underground, but that’s just me. )
