Asha frowned. “Wait. Torgon? Wich Torgon?”

“Torgon the Latecomer.”

“He was king during the Age of Heroes.” She recalled that much about him, but little else. “What of him?”

[Torgon Greyjoy was the kings eldest son. But the king was old and Torgon restless, so it happened that when his father died he was raiding along the Mander from his stronghold of Greyshield. His brothers sent no word to him but instead quickly call a kingsmoot, thinking that one of them would be chosen to wear the driftwood crown. But the captains and the kings chose Urragon Goodbrother to rule instead. The first thing the new king did was comand that all the sons of the old king be put to death, and so were they. After that men called him Badbrother,though in trough they’d be no kin of him. He ruled for almost two years.”

Asha remembered now. “Torgon came home … “

“… and said the kingsmoot was unlawful since he had not been there to make his claim. Badbrother had proved to be as mean as he was cruel and had few friends left upon the isles. The priests denounced him, the lords rose against him and his own captains hacked him to pieces. Torgon the latecomer became the king and ruled for forty years.”

So acording to this nor Asha neither Victarion or the Damphair (assuming he’s still alive) can claim the kingsmoot unlawful. The three of them had been there to make their claim.

Is there anyone who wasn’t there? Who can be the next Torgon? Theon Greyjoy. Ramsay Bolton had him prisioner when the kingsmoot took place. He hasn’t made his claim. It isn’t too crazy to think that Asha would use his brother to replace Euron from the throne.

Can she do that? Given her current situation your first answer would be NO. But there’s no fun in this. Let’s theorise.

Stannis will most likely win the war against the Bolton’s and free the North from them. A kingdom grateful to him. He’s also in good terms with the Wildlings and the Night’s Watch thanks to Jon. Those are good allies, but he’ll need more. Why not the Iron Islands? Both Asha and Theon Greyjoy are in his power, he might trade their freedom in exchange of an alliance. With Stannis support and Theon’s claim everything is possible.
