The doctor had been kind, the nurses gentle and reassuring when they took her blood and ran the tests needed to work out the dosage she was going to need for both pills. They were even kind enough to let Leon stay with her and block everything for the ultra sound to see how far along she was.Ā
The first pill was given in office with the warning that it could upset her stomach. The second she was given to take home with instruction to take it about twelve hours later and to hold it in her cheek so it would dissolve.Ā
Torrie didnāt feel much of anything at first after she left, but about an hour after returning home, she was feeling sick. It was bad enough to keep her hold up in the bathroom, slumped against the edge of the tub, a cool washcloth on the back of her neck, cheek resting on the porcelain.Ā
Time had inched by and it wasnāt until Leon brought her the second pill did she know how much time had gone by. It didnāt help that she had kicked him out of the bathroom while she was still unable to even keep down water, her muscles tense and sore, throat feeling raw. It was harder than she thought it would be.
The pill didnāt take long to dissolve and the first couple of hours passed with no real issue. She was just over the three hour mark with no pain and beginning to think it wasnāt going to take when it felt like someone had sucker punched her in her lower abdomen.Ā
It was enough to make her double over. It was worse than any cramps she had ever had and, or a moment, she thought everything had gone black. All she wanted to do was curl up in bed and not move, but she couldnāt seem to move from where she had sunk down to the ground.Ā
She was so out of it that it took her a long while to realize anyone had moved her from the floor, but once she noticed, she wrapped around a pillow, keeping it pressed to her stomach as she cried.Ā
The pain alone was enough to make her actually regret going through with the whole thing. It didnāt matter what she tried to do, every move made her whimper. The doctor had warned her that it was likely it would hurt more for her than most people because of her dosage being much higher, but that hadnāt helped to actually prepare her.Ā
The pain blocked out everything around her and all she could do was lie there and beg for it to stop between gasping breaths and shuddering sobs.
