look he didn’t ask to be able to talk to wolves
Just off the top of my head here's what I think some Belgariad characters would be type wise if they were Pokemon ^^
•Silk: normal type (maybe dark too but I don't really think it fits him tbh... Idk)
•Barak: fighting type
•Mandorallen: steel fighting type
•Polgara: psychic type (maybe flying too idk)
•Belgarath: psychic type
•Garion: psychic type
•Ce'nedra: fairy grass type
•Lelldorin: fire type (idk it just fits him I feel)
•Hettar: normal type
•Relg: rock type (obvi lol)
•Durnik: steel type
•Torak and all his disciples: dark psychic type
Lemme know if you agree or disagree! (Or if I left anyone out lol, if so sorry guys 😬)
I don't think we appreciate enough how good Michelle Paver is at making making the books absolutely horrifying. One moment it's a fun adventure series with two young protagonists and a wolf, suddenly it's a horror novel with brain eating demons silently killing dogs in the night and slowly pressing in on the tent to reach the frightened people inside.
She's so good at writing horror and it's so weird because I wouldn't classify these books as horror, they just take horrifying routs sometimes.
Between the Tokoroths, the hidden people, and now the skin takers, woman knows how to make the story absolutely unsettling. And the craziest part is, these demons are hardly really ever SEEN in the books. Just simply knowing they are nearby is enough to turn up the creep factor.
