the type of species that Topples is (a topple) can adjust to mass cold even with no fur at all. The younger ones are less immune to it. But that doesn’t have anything to do with why Topples doesn’t freeze when close to the groke. It’s an up to interpretation thing really.

if topples finds anything small and dead she will give it to the Groke. And every time she does it seems that the gift is deemed unworthy. The thing is Topples doesn’t know that’s kind of just a thing you DON’T do!! But Topples doesn’t know and she’ll never know that’s just her nature.
