Akashi: His first choice. He is charming, sociable, and won’t do anything to embarrass Kuroko (too badly. Might force him to dance or something or hang onto Akashi’s arm all night, and may make Kuroko go out to a fancy dinner with him as payment, but Kuroko figures it’s a small price to pay). 10/10.

Momoi: The next best option after Akashi. Pretty, nice, sociable. Not an idiot. She will hang on his arm all evening and he will fully let her because she does a great job of engaging with people, so much so that Kuroko doesn’t have to speak much himself, which he likes. 10/10.

Midorima: Bad at small talk but not a worst case scenario. Won’t force Kuroko to do anything embarrassing. Won’t complain. Dresses nicely. Will leave after an acceptable amount of time has passed (and not a moment more or less). 9/10.

Kagami: Fine (in more ways than one). He’s a bit awkward but can get by. Will be hit on all night/people will be like “you’re a lucky man!” and Kagami will just blush + splutter and Kuroko will be the one to grab onto Kagami and say “yes, I am” (just to embarrass him but also bc Kagami does look really nice in a suit). Kuroko treats him to burgers as a thank you and gets a shake out of it too. 8/10.

Murasakibara: Does not answer his invites. If he does, he is at the snack table all night. Dresses sloppily or Kuroko himself has to make time to dress him. Bad choice. Would still pick him over Kise though. 5/10.

Kise: Talks too much, attracts too much attention. All of Kuroko colleagues are all over him. Annoys Kuroko. Is too pretty + flashy. (Kuroko will go to Kise’s events with him to make up for it). 4/10.

Kuroko didn't know there was more than one kind of astrological sign until Midorima walked into the flower shop looking for orchids.
