Topologic Zeroboros
I low-key ship the Topologic Dragons and Borrel Dragons, and the Rokkets are their children. The things I think about at 1 in the morning... Yay or nay? π€ I even gendered and orientated each of the dragons, if anyone's interested? Idk lol lmk
Topologic Bomber Dragon ββββββββββββββββ 2+ Effect Monsters If another monster is Special Summoned to a zone a Link Monster points to, while this monster is on the field: Destroy all monsters in the Main Monster Zones, also your other monsters cannot attack for the rest of this turn. After damage calculation, if this card attacked an opponent's monster: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's original ATK. ββββββββββββββββ Can Be Found In: Code of the Duelist (COTD-EN046)
Link Monsters have the most liberties when comes to their summoning, not relying on Levels or very particular materials like the rest of Extra Deck monsters. Often with vague requeriments suitable for most Decks, the true deal arround Link Monsters is the quantity of materials they might need for their summon marked by their Link Rating. However, that same Link Rating can be used to cheapen summon considerably, therefore using a Link Monster as material for others will turn into several materials for a new monster.
"Topologic Bomber Dragon" is a powerful offense to lead the board on its own with both removal and offensive abilities. With three arrows pointing at our board and one towards the opponent, "Topologic" will automatically destroy all monsters residing any Main Monster Zone the moment there's a Special Summon in one of the Zones it's pointing to. This effect has the drawback that we can only attack with this Link Monster, but with 3000 ATK should be enough to deal considerably damage with a direct attack. Otherwise "Topologic" is still able to deal severe damage by attacking other monsters, as after a damage calculation will deal damage to the original ATK of its target. Overall, "Topologic" is a serious threat that if is not clearing boards turn after turn will still be able to constantly deal damage one way or another, easily becoming a staple Link Monster for whichever Decks are able to summoning it.
With a Link Rating of four, "Topologic Bomber Dragon" is a quite expensive summon by asking atleast four Effect Monsters for its summon. Many Decks are quite capable to swarm the field with enough materials for this Link Summon, ranging from Six Samurais right from early game to cards like "Rekindling" bringing several materials at once from our Graveyard. However, there's no need to waste all resources in a single turn to gather several Effect Monsters, as instead we can rely on other Link Monsters and their Link Rating to ease the setups. Aim towards a Link Monster with a Link Rating of two of three, so that will treat them as that number of materials for the summon of "Topologic". Keep on mind that this shortcut only works with a single Link Monster at a time, so using several of them as materials will count a single of them as the one treated by its Link Rating. At first summoning other Link Monsters before "Topologic" might seem extra effort, but since many of them have more open summoning requeriments it gives us more liberties to what materials we can work with in our Deck.
Either clearing most of the board or attacking with assured damage, is undoubtly that "Topologic" will lead Duels as soon it lands on the field. Its removal effect is a bit tough to handle at first since as soon we Special Summon something below its arrows will automatically destroy all monsters in the Main Monster Zones, so try to keep those zones clear to bring easily available creatures by effects such as"Lonefire Blossom" or "Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite" as well revival options. This effect can be triggered during the opponent's turn and not just because "Topologic" is targetting one of their zones, but we can keep the board clean during their turn if we prepare cards like "Scapegoat" and "Call of the Haunted" to Special Summon something behind this monster's arrows. One option in particular is the Field Spell "Black Garden", constantly summoning tokens on our field in responde of the opponent's summons and thus allowing us to constantly clear the board for most of the turn. The opponent's Extra Monster Zone will remain safe from "Topologic" destructive effect and that's where its second effect comes into action, confronting any survivors while dealing damage in the process. This effect is pretty much assured no matter the outcome of the fight, so if "Topologic" is facing monsters with protective abilities or survives against stronger enemies we can still assure the damage in the process. Don't hold back to revive "Topologic" if you have to, but keep it away from facing an empty Extra Monster Zone as the opponent might summon something and cause its effect to destroy itself.
"Topologic Bomber Dragon" is undoubtly a powerful offense for any player able to work arround its Link Summon. Either constantly clearing the board or dealing assured damage, "Topologic" is a serious threat the opponent must take down immediately if they want their board safe from its two effects. However, "Topologic" is a monster that will mostly work alone due its arrows restricting our zones if we want other monsters on the field, either forcing us to keep our field empty (Unless playing monsters with protective effects) or only working with two zones outside of its range. Not only that, but if we have other monsters on the field the opponent can take advantage of the only arrow "Topologic" is pointing at them to spare a Special Summon and ruin our board, further confirming its solo role during a Duel. Even so as well the fact we can only attack with this monster after its destructive effect, "Topologic Bomber Dragon" has all the opportunities to lead Duels and even finish off the opponent by either direct attacks or confronting other monsters.
Personal Rating: A
+ Destroys all Main Monster Zones if a monster is Special Summoned in a zone its arrows is pointing to + Deals damage equal to the ATK of a monster is attacking + Well supported in both summon and triggering its removal effect during any turn
- We can only attack with this monster after using its removal effect - Since its removal effect is obligatory it will stay alone on our field to avoid any backfiring
