This assortment of abrasives and polishers is probably the thing visitors to the studio ask about most often. The different materials and shapes are each suited best for a particular task. Some are used for sanding, some for polishing or adding satin finishes, others grinding down surfaces, some get into tight spaces and remove excess solder. The one I use the most is a split mandrel that holds strips of regular sand paper. I find these to be the most versatile and cost effective of all the flex shaft tools I have. I can easily switch out paper when I need a different grit or it's worn out, and can use this tool to sand inside rings, on the edges of pieces, as well as across wide surfaces. #tooltalktuesday #toolbox #jewelersbench #jewelrymaking (at metamorphosis metals) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2hnnbknvWS/?igshid=1ngmg6gw6sqmr
