I've stayed late at work this evening for a Repair Cafe, being run with Abingdon Carbon Cutters. Tool sharpening is my thing, and so I was glad to work on a few kitchen knives. Happy to be back at @makespaceoxford today to do a bit of tool sharpening for the repair cafe organised by the fabulous team behind @shareoxford Last time I went along it was mostly gardening tools, but today I also got to sharpen two sets of kitchen knives including a first for me - a potato peeler! Unloading my van I was delighted to spot a little oasis of ferns tucked away in their carpark. At my work this evening we hosted a Repair Cafe, with volunteers from Abingdon Carbon Cutters. I'm told it was mostly sharpening jobs but we fixed a few electrical items too, with 29 repairs completed overall. I'm really happy to be part of an organisation that encourages us to all reduce our waste.
