The Toolbox Murders (1978) A man walks around and methodically kills women off one by one in an apartment block. That’s about as simple as it gets really. From the off it starts with a murder, then carries on in that fashion, for about 30 mins until it goes completely dry and it almost feels like a different film. The film was banned for many years, and I see that it gained cult following for its outrage it caused rather than its quality. The acting is average at best and features scantily clad women being murdered. In what can only be described as the most feeble attempts to survive ever. No body in this apartment block has any decent locks, and some even leave their bloody windows open! It loses all atmosphere after around 20 minutes or so and the characters you follow are dead pan, boring, and ironically do more than the police, who are more interested in the sex lives of the murdered victims. It’s a brain busting situation that will frustrate you more than the awful disguise that the killer wears. Not to mention the ghetto blaster sized toolbox he carries around effortlessly and manages not to be seen 🤦🏻♂️ The presentation from 88 films comes in a limited edition numbered slipcover and has a decent video with a slightly quiet audio track. Overall, The Toolbox Murders garnered its cult following for being banned rather than anything substantial. It’s a pretty bad film in honesty and even as a slasher, fairs to establish a solid story, or logic for that matter! #TheToolboxMurders #ToolboxMurders #TheToolboxMurders1978 #TheToolboxMurdersReview #TheToolboxMurders1978Review #Omareviews #ExploitationFilm #CultMovie #CultClassic #BannedInTheUK #Slasher #88Films #CultFilms #Cinephile #MovieReview #Reviewer #FollowForReviews https://www.instagram.com/p/B_CinDclyJg/?igshid=e68rhg008iin
