I think Drew really struggles with pain or feeling pain-

Like in book two- Drew wouldn’t really reacting that much to being hit in the head by the spell drive disk

Not that she didn’t hurt or pas out but like she’s so used to her pain being ignored that kinda forgot how to feel it

The reason I chose this is that after reading a lot about foster kids and how after leaving the system they struggle with admitting they need help or have been so used to being to to “suck it up” or something that as adults they struggle with actually getting help for serious problem

She lost her lost important person and had to get ready for school like nothing happened- compared to that what an overblot or two?

“What cannon character (if any) do they the oc have bad relationships with?”

This was kinda hard cause Drew would say she doesn’t really “hate” but she’s still human and she does and it’s Sadly Kalim… kalim can’t imagine what Drew’s life was life in foster care

Even if she’s adopted like in some aus I’ve shared- he’s so casual about it “it must’ve been so fun to have so many families that wanted you! Haha I bet you had a blast-“ And it takes everything Drew has to not beat him. It’s the one time Jamil was actually scared he’d have to be a body guard.

During book five Kalim probably tried to reach out and it came off horribly to her. And Drew’s just thinking he’s doing this for attention. Drew being the passive aggressive type to confront him. but they did talk eventually and kinda have truce of sorts

Is Drew still gonna be very short with with him when acts like himself yes

and before anyone’s comes for me I think a lot of Drew resent would stem from both jealousy but also Kalims inability to adapt to change

She had to adapt to anything to survive he can’t what’s wrong with him? Why does he get rewarded when she’s been punished they do parallel each other way more then he hey want to admit
