The show featured music by Fats Waller, lyrics by various artists, and a book by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby Jr. This recording is from the 1982 NBC broadcast, which featured the same cast as the original production. Ain’t Misbehavin’ was nominated for five Tony Awards and won three, including Best Musical. This song was performed by Ken Page, Nell Carter, Armelia McQueen, and Charlayne Woodard. Carter won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress for her performance in this show.
