After what felt like an unnecessarily long party, Leon was ready to call it a night. Enough time had been spent serving as the entertainment and he had been allowed to go off with Asha finally, who had mercifully rented him the remainder of the night. Leaving the loud ballroom behind had been a blessing, as he had no desire to stick around until the actual end of the party. All that was left to do was dispose of the hideous remains of his outfit, looking to put in something slightly less embarrassing before accompanying the celestial back to the village. “Just give me five minutes,” Leon requested when they neared the Undercroft. “I’ll be right back.” He darted off then, leaving Asha at the top of the stairs as he went to change.
What Leon hadn’t expected however was to find he wasn’t alone. A strix he’d seen on the arm of masters was there, and within seconds of the individual explaining himself, Leon knew he was screwed. It was ironic, really. Leon also had no desire to disrupt the current status quo. The other’s paranoia however didn’t leave any chance for Leon to explain himself. Before he knew it, Leon found himself on the defense. Unfortunately for the vampire, the collar around his neck still rendered him as weak as a human— pitifully trying to fend off the enraged strix. Leon looked for anything he could to protect himself, but the Undercroft was indeed a poor place to find anything of use, considering it’s purpose.
There was a loud thud and it took Leon a moment to realize the sound was his head hitting the stone wall as the hybrid slammed into him, fangs drawn with the intent to kill.
