Note that it's possible that connecting your Switch to a computer via USB may allow you to transfer your snaps through an option in the system settings. However, this is not always available (I have a regular Switch1 and a fairly recent MacBook but I can't use this option for whatever reason), so this is another avenue to pull your snaps that works with any device with a USB-C port (so computers, phones, and tablets).

I do also want to preface this by pointing out that my teenage years overlapped with a time when tech was sort of all over the place and shit wasn't standardized, so adapters were plentiful (hence why I have so many).

Before you do this, go into your Switch's system settings and make sure your screenshots and videos are saved to your microSD card. Then shut your Switch down (hold the power button, then select "power options" then "turn off"), and pop your microSD card out of there and into your adapter, and plug the adapter into your device of choice.

On a computer, finding the drive and pulling from it are pretty easy to figure out. On a phone or tablet, though, it might be confusing (but it can be done, which is what I was testing).

Now, I only have Apple products, so I don't know how this works on Android devices, but on iOS at least, there's an app called Files. When your adapter is plugged in, open up the Files app, and in the sidebar/menu, you should see something like this:
