Happy #RhinoFriday shout out from conservation #wildographer @broadhurst.tom straight Uganda’s Zoe’s Rhino Sanctuary ・・・ Even if it continues to be a tough time for these majestic animals - with habitat destruction, fragmentation and poaching and trafficking of their horns threatening their existence. It’s important to celebrate the wins and considerable efforts of those seeking to protect rhinos worldwide - such as the incredible team at @rhinofunduganda. From being extinct in Uganda in the 1980s, rhinos were reintroduced at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in 2002 and a successful breeding program means there are now 32 thriving white rhinos at Ziwa, like this youngster.
