Testing the new 1DxII from #canon in the studio today. I had disabled the camera's feedback and worked strictly from observation & instinct. It made me feel more connected to the process that way. Then I went to the computer to have the images 'developed'. It's that time of year again, my friends...the BEST time of year! Tonight we kick off the 16th installment of the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival!!! 9 days of mind-bending, soul-shaking blissfulness - spread out over 19 stages and 1500+ artists from 18 countries. Gahhh!!! .. .. This year marks my 8th year as an official festival photographer. Over the years, it's provided an endless source of 'did that just really happen?' moments, to say the least.
