Yeah, you read that right -- the Welcome to Hell fandom is attempting its first ever Big Bang!

Ever wanted to write fic, but just didn't have the motivation? Wanted to create art or moodboards for more fics? Really wishing that you had some more content for your favorite pairings and characters? An unfulfilled kinkmeme prompt weighing on your mind? Well, here you go!

But wait, you ask -- what is a Big Bang? Well, here’s a cool definition from Fanlore.org:

A Big Bang is a specific type of challenge usually involving long fics and accompanying artwork. This type of challenge is a reprise of the old zine tradition of collaboration between artists and writers for internet fandoms.

Most Big Bangs have a similar format: Writers sign up and begin writing stories. When the early drafts of the stories are available, each one is assigned one or more artists, or artists might claim stories from posted summaries Artists create fanart to go along with the story. This art can take the form of illustrations, manips, photo collages, vids, iconsets, etc.

Sounds pretty hard to do, right? Well, luckily, since this is our first ever Big Bang, we decided to start off small. While a traditional Big Bang requires 50,000 words and multiple (usually 10) pieces of art, and modern big bangs go for 10,000 words, we decided to make ours a big smaller. Each fic has to be at minimum 5,000 words, but more is strongly welcomed and encouraged! Ship and focus doesn't matter much, either -- it can be as popular as Sockathan or as unknown as Tompheles. It can even be without a ship -- just as long as it is 5,000 words or more!
