Liverpool based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tom Low will be releasing his debut EP titled Phone via Deltasonic on the 26th of this month. Here above you we have the title track, a lush garden of Sixties inspired melodies with his endearing vocals. Enjoy Phone above via Soundcloud and if you are lucky enough catch him on his tour this month and next where he is supporting C Duncan.
Song Pick of the Day: Tom Low - Phone
Tom Low stays 100% on topic with “Phone” which is written, produced and performed by himself, because it’s also recorded -you’d guessed it- on a phone, the iPhone 6 to be precise. The song itself is a lovely ditty with cool beats, a nice melody, decisively lo-fi and faint Beatles hints. “Answer the phone, how will I know if I can call you a friend” urges Tom Low, and we prompt you to listen to our Song Pick of the Day now, before the entire EP drops later this month:

Tom Low Releases Debut Single 'Phone'
Released on 28th January via Deltasonic Listen here
UK Tour with C Duncan
Liverpool singer-songwriter Tom Low has announced the upcoming release of his debut single Phone. Arriving ahead of the release of his debut EP of the same title, Phone highlights the 22-year-old’s heavily influenced 60s sound which will be showcased on his forthcoming UK tour supporting C Duncan in February and March. Having grown up in Newcastle upon Tyne and developed a real passion for music after discovering The Beatles at a young age, Tom took up guitar at school, becoming self-taught on the likes of piano, bass, drums and bouzouki. He spent his teens writing and recording hundreds of instrumentals at home which have since progressed into songs and he is now ready to share these publically. Tom’s style is a blend of his love of skilfully crafted songwriting and dense production with eccentric and abstract musical concepts. Debut EP Phone features five tracks recorded entirely on his mobile in various friends’ houses with the idea behind each track to “to sound like the subject” which results in heavily layered pieces, full of eclectic instrumentation and pop hooks. He writes and performs every part himself and through this process he conjures up his own unique brand of future pop that feels familiar yet different. Tom Low’s debut EP Phone is released on 26th February via Deltasonic and will be available to purchase on iTunes and Spotify.
Christmas card community
Tom Low responded to a request on TradArch from architect Steve Mouzon for comment, thumbs up or down, on a new neighborhood in Bentonville, Ark., featured in Architect magazine, voice of the AIA (which traditionally hates traditional architecture). Low replied but added the image, above, of what he was working on. To me, it seems much better.
