Gotten into a big argument (part of the plan to ramp up the tension but it got messier than intended)

Sat down to eat chili and discuss the merits of the recipe (wait what - well I suppose a meal is probably warranted at this point)

are having a heartfelt discussion that's making me cry just a bit (this is great and all but no one's even kissed yet!!!)

For the most part I have enough plot, but I am going to need to put together some technobabble. This probably means watching the finale again. I hard zoned out of the dialogue when it got technobabbley. The acting, the emotion, was the important thing in those scenes. It needed to be there, though, so I need some too, and it would be great if it was consistent with the stuff in the show (and also easier to make up!)

Toying with the idea of making this a chapter fic, but I don't think the fic is actually going to be long enough to benefit from chapters. The thing is, though, there is a part of it that wants a chapter title.
