So Autistic!John has a favorite comfort item that he just has to take with him on tour. It's his Mickey Mouse stuffed toy.

Usually he does a great job of keeping track of Mickey but on one stop in particular, that changes when John can't find the stuffed doll in his suitcase.

Brian, Roger and Freddie try to help him calm down and look for Mickey but they end up coming up with nothing.

John melts down into a sobbing mess for nearly a week. While this is going on, the other three try their best to help John until one day, Brian gets a phone call from the airport saying that lost baggage found John's Mickey Mouse doll.

This video is old but, this guy has some pretty good points about the homophobia in the entertainment industry and why there are so many closeted gay actors.

Thank you for the link! The video was interesting and some of it was on point. I don’t think the people of entertainment industry are more homophobic than people in other lines of work, but they assume that the rest of the world is. Are they wrong, though? Maybe not. Still, this is not how you change the world. This discrimination of out and proud artists is cowardice and putting profits before progress. It’s a business, I get it, but I think we should all do our bit to make the world a better place. We are getting there, I’m sure of it, but it’s just going to take some time and hard work.

But what we need to understand is that the J’s are in an exceptional situation in comparison to other closeted celebrities. They’re sex symbols to the fandom, and what’s most important, they play brothers on TV. While you and I can make the distinction between fictional characters and real life, some people still can’t separate the two completely.

The J’s have also been closeted for quite a while and have taken their bearding to a level that’s not often seen. They have an awful lot to lose at this point, especially if they plan to continue acting after the show is over (yes, I know what they’ve been saying lately). While I truly hope they’ll have the courage to come out one day, I really can’t fault them if they won’t. I cannot even imagine what it’s like to be in their shoes - especially because so many people depend on them. I have nothing but sympathy and love for them.

Just my opinion but I think Gen could be following Jared to make sure he (and Jensen) stays closeted. Think about it, who else was PR going to send to spy on the Js? I hate to bring my least favorite rock star (not a) couple Andy and Juliet into this discussion again but, Juliet claims to go to Warped tour with Andy every other year “for business” when it’s been proven she’s just there to spy on Andy to make sure he doesn’t cheat on her. It sounds like to me Gen is doing something similar here, just spying on J2 to make sure they stay “in the closet”.🤔

I’m afraid I’m going to have to respectfully disagree with your view here! I think the J’s are very experienced with staying in the closet at this point and don’t really need anyone to watch over them. This used to be Clif’s role in the past, but it looks like he’s taken a step back these days.

I think I saw Jared’s manager D. Spilo attending the filming of Conan, too. I believe he’s the person who convinced the J’s to stay in the closet all those years ago - or at least that his was the voice that bore the most weight among TPTB. If staying in the closet was a problem for them, I’m sure Spilo’s presence was, uhhh, more encouraging than G’s.

Anyway, I think G joined them at San Diego to further her own agenda - promoting the blog and getting attention. I seriously doubt she cares much about what the J’s do, as long as she has the public claim to Jared. She does need him to stay in the closet, but I think it’s because she’d lose a lot of her fans if it wasn’t for the fact that she’s married to Jared.

So, my thoughts are that G went there for her own reasons, not to watch over what J2 were doing. The J’s went out after their press day and things got pretty gay. ;) G, on the other hand, was nowhere to be seen during the night time. I guess she had no interest in partying with the guys.
