I’ve heard a few times that Toc-Man was originally planned for an episode of the show before it was cancelled (not Orson tho…sobs) but my sources for this are pretty much nonexistent. Would you happen to know? I have no idea if this was once common knowledge or not

Unfortunately, there was never an episode planned for Toc-Man, at least not from what we’ve ever known, and you’re correct that the sources are nonexistent for it. I’ve began following the series actively in 2015, back when season 2 was still airing new episodes, and even up until now there was never mention of a Toc-Man episode. Unfortunately I think these are just rumours :(
I do have an inkling of an idea of where the rumours could’ve originated from though: the Wiki.
If you’re new in the fandom, or have not been around in the last ten years, then you wouldn’t know this info but the PMATGA wiki is notorious for false information, vandalism, and made-up fiction about the show. There’s been several times where someone (the mod, of all people) would create a page and dump an episode list of season 3 names and pretend that it was a confirmed episode listing of season 3 episodes, when all that it was is the mod’s own wishes and made-up names for new episodes. They essentially treated the wiki as their personal fanfic dumping grounds, and they were not as proactive against vandalism and correcting false information as they should’ve been.
I haven’t touched the wiki in years, so I don’t know if the mod is still around or if the wiki has gotten better at managing info. But if I had to take a gander at where rumours of a Toc-Man episode came from, it’s likely to be from the Wiki. In fact, if I remember correctly, one of the names of the mod’s false episode listings had something named Toc-Man or Metal Pac-Man in them. It’s been a long time ago, so I’m not too certain.
