The Pace Report: "Moving On To Greatness" The Tyler Reese Interview

Welcome to another edition of The Pace Report featuring guitarist Tyler Reese performing new music from his current CD "Reminiscence."

This marks the New York City debut of Tyler playing at Club Bonafide featuring Gary Grainger on bass, Toby Fairchild on drums and Chris Fischer on keyboards. Tyler, 24, hails from Fredericksburg, Virginia and has been a successful session musician in Nashville over the last couple of years. He's currently finishing his music education at Berkley School of Music. One of his mentors is the legendary Pat Metheny, who he taught during his many master classes.

Prince also took to Tyler's gifted skill as he invited him to play for him at a jam session at his studios.

I had a chance to sit down with Tyler to talk about his musical influences, his reflections on playing and learning from Pat Metheny, and his latest recording "Reminiscence."
