saying that you hate it when people hc your fav characters as trans and that it 'ruins them' is transphobic. saying that in fiction, nobody gets to be trans, that you don't want trans people to exist in fiction because it's 'an escape' is transphobic. fictions affects reality, and reflects reality.

saying you don't want trans people in your fiction and don't want other people to be putting trans people in fiction reflects how you're thinking irl- that you don't think trans people should exist.

even if you're trans yourself, that's transphobic.

and you CANT say 'but i'm just venting on my blog'.

it was put publicly on a post for many, MANY followers to see. if you post a 'vent' on your public blog, it's not a private thing, you're looking for people to agree and comfort you and validate what you're thinking, and often on purpose to cause a scene if it's 'contraversial'.

toastpotent posted their transphobic take on purpose, and then framed it as a 'vent' to avoid responsibility for exposing many followers to some pretty bad transphobia. it's manipulation. it's guilt tripping.

and it's irresponsible and just outright stupid to say 'but it's MY blog i say what i want' when we all know that's not how social media fucking works, especially when you have a large follower base that look to you for influence and input. we all know how hate movements can get traction online through this kind of thing.

christ almighty where do I even start. long story short: Patti LaBelle’s son/nephew is a trump supporting, virulent misogynist who defends rape and pedophilia and took ownership of some politician’s sock puppet twitter page, voluntarily taking the fall for that same politician who accidentally posted a tweet posing as a “black gay guy” to his verified political account.

SO...........some republican former county commissioner posted this tweet from his official verified account pretending to be a black gay for trump ashdgakjshd

then he posted again and claimed he didn’t have a fake sock puppet account he thought he had switched to and had ACTUALLY just been trying to quote something that a supporter of his said to him and made a mistake tweeting it without any context (as if)

twitter detectives do a little digging and find an account that was made in 2020 that often replies to his verified account and checked his following list (which is listed chronologically in order of who you followed first) and found this account that consistently responds to his

THEN barely like 30-45 minutes later, a video is posted to the the dan purdy account claiming to be the real person who runs it, verifying that he is indeed a black gay man who “has no problem with trump” but has an issue with how “people of his race hate on him” and some other garbage

Within like another 30 minutes, people had done some more sleuthing and found a facebook account that used the same profile picture as the dan purdy twitter account as well as pictures of the man in the video

turns out, the man in the video who claimed the identity of “the real dan purdy” is byl holte and all the pics and videos from the FB account verify this.  Guess what else?

Dan purdy/Byl holte is the son/nephew of Patti fucking LaBelle. Yes both the son and nephew.

How is that possible?

And on top of ALLLLLLL of that, apparently this Byl person has a long and verified track record of twitter trolling and virulent, raging misogyny (hating on feminism, defending rape) and hatred of black people, black women is particular, all of which he was posting on various twitter accounts that he was eventually suspended from

“the other guy” meaning Dean browning.
