Roman’s heart hurt, even when inhaling there was a sharp pain that hit him - He gnawed on the inside of his cheek before giving out his answer, his voice strained.

Normally it’s not my problem” His words now carried slight venom, he had just been through the worst he could at the Godfrey Institute, and with the encounter with his bitch of a mother - he didn’t need this.

“Look, I don’t have the bandwidth for this, But Vi, I can’t explain to you how much you actually mean to me. What it’s actually fuckin’ like to see you instead of everyone else who treats me as though I’m some monster, some fucked up mess to discard like it’s no longer their problem. I can be a pain in the balls, and I can be an asshole... I’m well aware, but least you give me a second chance, and you’re worth more than any of the people I know...And it scares me to lose that.
