Do not ever tell your child that they're not tall enough to be something. I'm 5'3" and want to model. I've always secretly wanted to model but I never told anyone because I feared people telling me I'll never be skinny enough or pretty enough. But last year I lost a bit of weight and got skinny. And figured out how to really do my makeup. So one day I was walking in a mall and guess what? A modeling agency stopped me and asked if I wanted to go to their school to learn how to model. I said yes and got an interview, in which the director said that I was really beautiful. He called the next week and said that they wanted me in their school and I got so excited. But I had to pay $1,895 to enroll. My mom said that I'm not tall enough to model so it would be a waste of time and money. I've always wanted nothing more than to be a model. And having a famous director say I'm really beautiful made me feel so much better about myself and how I look. But my own mom telling me I'm too short broke my fucking heart. I will never forgive her for what she's said. Parents are supposed to support their child and help them pursue their dreams, not crush them. So to any parents out there; please please please NEVER tell your child that they're not good enough to become something, because you never know how much they've secretly wanted to do that thing.
