Honestly, that set of asks and the responses really does show the inherent leaning towards purity culture that keeps happening in certain sections of BL fandom.

There's nothing wrong with wanting them to make out! High heat is not wrong or less than lower heat, but neither is lower heat less than high heat. They're just tastes and styles and they're all equal.

Romance without 'making out' is not inherently superior to romance with it. And wanting higher heat doesn't mean not wanting plot or character.

nate’s talked about it before at a con i believe. the scene was cut short either for time or censorship (can't remember which one), like how the cami and marcel sex scene in s1 was cut down bc there was too much thrusting.

There were two!...sort of. E.V.O. was the main evolution theme for the lower-level evolutions, and Slash!! was the Card Slash theme, which wasn’t technically an evolution per se (though by mid-series the two often went hand in hand) but had the hallmarks of a “battle theme”, as it were.

Ronnie and Jason, like Veronica and JD, meet and are immediately smitten, honestly. Due to the matching of wit and humor, they were going to date in some scale no matter what if they spoke again after first meeting. So, in order for them to not date at all, they’d have to somehow never bump into each other.

While the other creator of this AU and I have a number of alternate AUs for the characters where they meet later or under different circumstances, we’re going to not throw that stuff into the mix.

Them not dating and not interacting would result in nothing of interest happening. Ronnie would be annoyed with the school and do nothing about it because that’s what benefits her and Jason would be annoyed at the school and gently prank people but do nothing to really shake anything up. Nothing terrible would happen, no deaths, it’d be more or less a boring high school story.

The accidental murders then thought-out murders are both events that happen because they’re together at just the right (or wrong, I guess) time.

For those unaware, Velocity and Icebox refer to my coldflash reverse powers AU where Len has become the speedster thief known as Velocity, and Barry got ice-powers instead, and became the hero named Icebox.

3: Who walks around the house half-naked and who yells at them to put on some clothes?Since getting his powers, Len’s body heals rapidly and some of his old scars have faded away. He also got a more defined physique and enjoys showing it off. Barry, on the other hand, still has his regular, thin body and often prefers to wear layers. So if someone is yelling for the other to put on clothes, it’s Barry.

7: Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes?Barry likes smelling like Len and his b/f has such nice stuff, why not wear it from time to time?

10: Which one does the posing while the other one draws?Len, being so dramatic, loves posing for Barry if he’s ever in the mood to draw him.

13: Which one likes to surprise the other with a lot of small random gifts?Barry can make little flowers or statues from ice, but they’re always temporary. Len likes to gift his b/f with sweets in return.

18: Who’s the first one to admit they have feelings for the other?Len never hid how much he found Barry desirable/cute, and constantly flirted with him, but never seriously, assuming Barry wasn’t interested like that. So when Barry confronts him on it, having gotten tired of mixed signals, Len is caught off guard and doesn’t know what to say. In response, Barry gave him an ultimatum: stop flirting altogether or go on a date. Their first date was awkward but very sweet.

24: Which one gives the other a piggyback ride when they’re tired?Len sometimes over estimates his abilities and goes past his limits. So from time to time, Barry has to give him a piggyback ride home. He’s got a few secret pockets in his poncho though, in case all his b/f needs is a snack.
