No one take out a contract with EE
We had a 24 month contract which we had to cancel a few months before it was due to end due to the handset not working. We paid the 70 quid early cancellation fee which 3 MONTHS LATER THEYRE STILL CHARGING THE CONTRACT. This hasn't been sorted with constant phone calls and emails. The early cancellation fee hasn't been refunded even though the people on the phone said they would. IT APPEARS IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL ANYTHING So don't give them your business you'll never escape
Why T-Mobile sucks and I can't do anything about it...
I got a follow-up call from T-Mobile yesterday after I had given some low scores on a survey they recently sent. I was impressed that they followed up at all—and that the person following up actually seemed concerned with my problems which are as follows:
Both my phone signal and data are frequently nonexistent in Washington DC and surrounding areas. My wife has the same phone and is on the same plan and is often right next to me when this occurs. Almost without exception her phone signal and data work when mine doesn’t.
T-Mobile replaced my Sim card which was the first possible issue but that didn’t work. Then they suggested that because I ported from AT&T and use my iPhone for backup which was on AT&T that maybe there was some kind of corruption and my network on the operating system.
After resetting network settings (which also didn’t work) Apple care says the next step before they replace the device is for me to completely wipe and to set up my phone as a new device—not from any backup—which means all my apps and all associated data that isn’t stored on a server would be gone and I have to start over.
This is nearly unacceptable to me because, at minimum, it’s a two hour chore I just don’t have time to do. Because of this, in my experience, T-Mobile sucks…and now they suck even more because they sent someone to follow up with me who is not empowered to correct the situation.
Assuming Applecare’s last theory is correct (my settings are corrupt) and I need to start over on my apps and data with no backup, sending me a new device would still make me happy—here’s why:
Let’s say I wipe and reset my current phone as new and the connectivity problem still exists. In this case they’ll need to send me a new iPhone because it’s definitely the iPhone and not corrupt settings. I would then set up that iPhone with my old backup and still have all my apps and local data.
If they just send me a new iPhone I can set it up as new and start over which is what I’d have to do anyway, but then T-Mobile and Apple can figure out a way to port customers successfully!
The hole in their theory is that my wife had virtually the same settings and was also on AT&T previously. She is not experiencing these outages. Also I would assume thousands if not millions of people have ported from AT&T to T-Mobile with iPhones. The issue that I’m reporting seems to be one-of-a-kind—they don’t have any experience like mine.
ok tv u need to calm down with the tmobile girl in the helicopter
T-mobile
So I've been a pretty loyal @Tmobile_usa user. years now. I was pretty pleased with them for a long time but in the last 2 years I've had nothing but problems. The service freezes, I miss calls, and my text messages disappear into the universe never to be read until three months later. I got a new phone thinking perhaps that was the issue. It worked ok for a few weeks but it all started happening again. DAMNIT. Then I had an MS episode, fell and smashed my phone. After paying for insurance for 4 years I was still required to pay 200 bucks to replace an outdated crappy phone. SUCK. I am constantly talking to the doctor, nurses, etc so being without a phone (my only phone btw no land line) is not an option. So lots of money, a forced new 2 year contract, and the issues are probably worse than they were with the last phone! ARGH. Customer service tells me over and over to just restart the phone, take out the battery, etc but IF that works then it only fixes the problem for a week or so and 3 different phones with the same problem? um. no.Â
So I think I'm pretty much done. I have no income, no money disposable funds, I can't pay for something that doesn't work. I know there are lots of logistics about it but I'm thinking I'm not going to be with Tmobile for much longer. I'm currently considering AT&T. I can't go verizon because I need a simcard phone in case (hah not at all likely) I end up going back to School/england at some point.Â
My question is.. anyone on AT&T or another phone services they really like? What type oh phone do you have/love ??

Dear phone manufacturers:
Please stop bragging about your phones having qwerty keyboards. They are tiny, and do not work the same as a computer keyboard. They also make it really fucking hard to dial a number with letters in it!
