Febuwhump Day Eight: Panic
Link woke to a darkness all encompassing and terrifying. It snapped him to attention, but the chains holding him up prevented him from doing anything about it.
It was nothing more than a blindfold, a gift from his captors meant to leave him feeling scared and helpless, but as he pulled against the bindings, his heart and breath betrayed the fear that curled in his gut. No familiar voices answered his calls, and the musty, stale air of whatever dungeon he was in was far too familiar a sensation to his lungs.
He leaned his full weight forward, and despite knowing his wrists would snap before the chains did, he struggled against the bonds with all his might. His breathing picked up, as if he could hardly get enough air through his body between its rotten scent and the tightness in his chest. It was all too familiar, and the dread and terror of the possibility that he had somehow been returned to the cell he had been banished to all those years ago would not leave him be.
"Now, Medilia ... Should you really be telling him all this? He won’t understand. You know that."

The girl is reasonably startled by his fall, swiftly reaching both hands down to catch his arm. This gives Link the chance to readjust his footing. He feels a sense of warmth again, but it's something different— something more closely akin to embarrassment. However, he shakes it off and looks back up to the girl. "(Are you alright)?" She appears to be wincing, but nods anyway. "Y-Yes. I'll be fine." It's as he looks up to her that he realizes why she kept one hand over her face before. A gash spreads across that side, still trickling with a cold red liquid.
"(...You're bleeding)." Link pulls himself up onto the rocks the rest of the way as he states what has become rather obvious.

Don't mind me, just being very normal about a scene that won't be out for Chapters to come.
"Why are you here?" she finally asked, the tears streaming down her face not her own. The divinity in her wept at the sight of the stranger, her immortal soul straining against the confines of mortality. It reached for something she couldn't hope to understand, the pulsing waves crashing and threatening to shatter her very being.
But he frowned at her question, as if he hadn't expected such response from her. "I had thought you would have the answer to such question, Your Grace."
"Why…?"
"I found him on the Goddess Statue," Levs added softly. "We think he is from before… everything."

Febuwhump Day Four: Knife to the Throat
Ghirahim pressed the knife against his throat, and Levs froze as he felt the bite of the sharp edge. “Drop your sword.” Levs’ eyes flicked over to Link, who held his sword up and ready to fight, but equally frozen by the precarious situation.
“Let him go,” he demanded lowly.
Ghirahim hummed, as if considering it. “No,” he grinned. “But how about a trade? I’ll give you this one—” He pressed the knife’s edge harder against Levs’ skin. “—if you give me that sword.”
Link and Levs info under the cut
You thought I forgot about Too Many Links. I’ve had this little drabble for a while, it was one of the first things I’d written for them. So, meet the TP Link, Dusk:
“Oh, aren’t you just the sweetest thing,” Dusk cooed. He wiggled his fingers, his smile widening as the kitten tried to bat at them. “Uh! You’re so ferocious. Such a tough little guy!”
“What are you doing?”
“Nothing!”
Dusk’s voice went up at least a full octave, and Link raised his eyebrow at the cat cradled in his arms. “Nothing?” he repeated. “And the cat is…?” Dusk blinked, looking down at it as if he didn’t realize he was still holding it. Link could see his expression positively melt when it reached a paw up, claws snagging on the fabric of his tunic. “Dusk.”
“Huh?” His attention snapped back up, face flushing as he realized what happened.
“That’s not your cat, is it?”
“Oh, no!” He shook his head. “No, just a little friend I found today.”
Link didn’t want to break Dusk’s heart. He really, really didn’t. But one of them had to be practical about this. “You do realize we can’t take a cat with us, right?” He could see the very second his words broke Dusk’s heart as the man’s expression fell, and Link briefly wondered if this hero had fought evil with an army of cats by his side before dismissing the notion. Mostly.
