I honestly think that Edward is one of the most trans masculine coded characters that I can think of, I can totally see Alfons as trans too, but there is something to be said about Edward struggles in particular that really resonate with many trans masc people.
I even think there’s a lot to be said about some of the themes of Fullmetal alchemist when it comes to change and creating of yourself what you want to be that resonate with probably many trans people!
