Sans grunted and dug in the grocery bag for a bag of chisps and a soda. You leaned over to inspect its contents as well but he stayed you with a finger, then pulled out a jar of marshmallow fluff and a spoon.

“Aww! You remembered!”

It was your favorite brand, too, only sold in EV as far as you knew. It had snails as one of the main ingredients, so you suspected that must be why. But the other brands tasted like they were missing something, to you.

“uh, yeah. the first time i saw you eating that stuff i was like, ‘damn.’” He was blushing, slightly. “like, ‘damn, i’m so glad i have someone to point at the next time someone calls me a goblin for my eating habits.’”

You jabbed him with your elbow and promptly had to pretend that it hadn’t hurt you more than it had him.

“You have crumbs on your shirt already, and you just opened the bag. I think I'm safe as long as you're around, honestly.”

“mm, nah. listen, you don't wanna go there with me. know why?”

“I'd love to hear why.”

You cackled. “No. No, sir. Because what I distinctly recall from that evening is you begging me to stop, you were so intoxicated by how erotic I looked with buffalo sauce on my chin. Like, stunned by my raw, primal magnetism.”

At last, he broke his level stare with a chuckle.

“yup.”

“Yes. That's what happened. I mean- you can't make fun of me for that because it worked.”

“uh-huh.”

“Okay, but when you say it like that it sounds like you're just humoring me and- I'm not making this up! This happened! Two days ago!” The pitch of your voice rose with your insistence.

“oh, definitely.”

“Stop gaslighting me, you dick!” you cried indignantly, snatching away his chisps. “You can have these back once you admit that that was the single most seductive two minutes of your entire life.”

“‘s fine. ‘m not really that hungry.”

“Oh, so you won't mind if I eat these?” you asked, popping a few in your mouth. He narrowed his eye sockets at you.

Undeterred, you even went so far as to dip one in your marshmallow.

“That's delicious. Salty and sweet. Wish you could try some of this.”

“fine. i popped a stiffy at the table ‘cuz of your sex noises. howzat.”

“Close enough. You can have these back now.”

“don't want ‘em anymore. they're tainted.”
