The long dark eclipse, how does he survive on a day to day basis O.O
Mostly the same way any survivor on the island would.
Shelter, fire, food.
He has almost the same needs as a human, except for hydration. So his needs bar looks a little like this:
Warmth, Despite being well insulated and being able to survive cold temperatures his systems definitely work better in the warmth, but not too warm of course. Once the thermometer gets to a quarter left he starts slowing down.
Rest! His system does need to rest and reboot every night this is also when his backup battery recharges.
And food! his biofuel generator that keeps him a ticking runs on bio matter, any food with low moisture like chips (crisps) and granola bars are great, he can eat meat if he overcooks it to dry it out but he can't eat soups or other wet foods. Now in a pinch Lantern oil, gasolene and even sticks will keep him going. Garbage like plastics, rubber or anything that doesn't burn so cleanly gums up his system tho and that's very bad. One of his main food sources has been fish, he keeps the oil in his emergency flask when he can't find lantern oil.
