#titan mode

It was hard as hell, but a good challenge and the first GoW game that I’ve beaten on all difficulties. As much as I’ve played all the games in the series, I’ve never quite mastered it the way I have with Ascension and as hard as it is to decide... I have to say that Ascension has become my favourite. The elemental weapons and so on... All the games are good, anyway. I played the first GoW back in 2011 and the reason for my blog name is because of this music in the Hades level.

There wasn’t as many red orbs in this difficulty, but here’s what I powered up:

Maxed Out Items: Blades of Chaos, Fire of Ares, Amulet of Uroboros & Oath Stone of Orkos (Most important items in my opinion and I did watch a Let’s Player that did it like this). The Amulet and the Oath Stone each get maxed out on 5000 red orbs. I did that as soon as I acquired them.

Others: Soul of Hades (Level 3) & Lightning of Zeus (Level 2).

The others were mainly powered because my most important weapons were maxed. The Soul of Hades, I powered up because Level 3 has the Army of Hades (Rage Attack). It’s Plume of Prometheus (Square, Square, Triangle) attack knocks enemies back with that giant ghoulish hand. It helps when fighting off and distancing yourself from the phalanx of Spartans in the Megaera battle, because one spear jab takes a lot of health. As for the final phase of the Alecto & Tisiphone battle, I made sure I had full magic so I could spam that shit! xD

Tisiphone is probably the trickiest, but her weakness is The Eyes of Truth. I didn’t use magic when on the boat that’s going around the maelstrom, because it wasn’t the toughest phase.

After finishing a Hard mode run, I was going to play a New Game+, but it felt too easy, even on a Hard Mode+... So, I accepted a real challenge.

The final stage against Aegaeon The Hecatonchires was probably the hardest and it doesn’t help that the camera pans out so far that you can’t see Kratos or where he is at amongst the annoying enemies. At this point, I just made it to Kirra and killed the first Gorgon. She was the easiest to fight because I know the Gorgon’s patterns well, she was the only enemy at that top part and I can time the parrying well. I’m going to dread those damn Sirens, though! X_X  

I need a good strategy because Titan mode doesn’t give you a lot of red orbs and it looks like you have to upgrade more wisely and not just because you can. So far, I have thought of a strategy. Not to upgrade all the elemental powers, even though I love using them (especially the The Soul of Hades, because of the spirit attacks). The Fire of Ares is probably going to be enough. That, The Amulet of Uroborus and The Oath Stone of Orkos. The Amulet, I have to remember to use it because I always forget during battle. xD Powered up, the amulet also has a wider radius and a quicker recharge rate. I watch other people play on YouTube, because they have good strategy.

Also... How the hell do any of you who play on the hardest setting in any of the GoW games, do it without upgrading? Isn’t the game’s highest difficulty enough of a challenge? DAMN! xD
