An absolute angel of a helpful expert has given us loads of info on Tit Hall accommodation! You guys will also be able to find this on the kitchen/bathroom masterpost!
First Year (£70-143/week)
Location: all first years stay on the central college site. You choose a band and are allocated a room within your chosen price band where possible. Rooms can vary quite a bit in size depending on the band you choose.
Bathrooms: no en-suites. Bathrooms are shared usually about 1 between 4. There are one or two baths over the whole of college but not one in every staircase.
Kitchens: small gyp rooms, 1 between 4-6 people. They have kettles, microwaves, toasters, fridges (but no hobs/ovens). Food in hall is fairly good, always vegetarian options (these especially can get a bit same-y but I think it’s pretty good for Cam standards).
Assignment: room allocation is carried out via ballot. You submit a ballot group which contains up to four people and your whole group is randomly allocated a position in the ballot (the positions are reversed the next year). Second and third years then ballot for individual rooms. There is the same choice of rooms for second years as third; third years choose before the second years.
Options: Wychfield Site - 20-25 minute walk/10 min cycle away from Trinity Hall main site. Really lovely gardens and grounds. Choose from New Build rooms (en-suite, ~£150/week) or Bolton House (slightly smaller, shared bathrooms, ~£115/week). BBC (Bishop Bateman Court) - 10 min walk/3 min cycle away from main site, ~£115/week. Not en-suite. WYNG Gardens - 10 min walk/3 min cycle away from main site, ~£160/week. All en-suite, double beds(!).
Kitchens: all have shared kitchens with proper ovens and hobs. The accommodation at Wychfield also has shared lounges (I’m not sure about the central accommodation).
