This is SUCH an important message. This picture may be harsh, but sometimes the truth IS harsh, and we could all use a reminder of that. As a donor recipient myself, this was the reality I faced while on dialysis every day for just under 5 years. "Will there be enough kidneys for us all?" The unfortunate answer is no. There aren't. In fact, there aren't enough donors at all right now. Blood, organ, tissue - there isn't enough for everyone in need. Universally. That little sticker on your license may not seem like a big deal, but to those of us that have had to, or are currently still waiting for that middle of the night phone call - it's everything.
