Family Vacation pt 2: Glenwood Springs, Colorado Glenwood Springs is an amusement park/old west type place. There are two main attractions here: the cave tours and the Alpine coaster. First you go on a tram ride in a ski lift style way up the mountain, since the park is up top. it's a little rickety, but they're getting new ones soon so keep your eye out. Unfortunately the Alpine rollercoaster was closed for whatever reason, so that was sad. It's a single person coaster that whips you up and down the mountain, and even small kids can do it! There's two different cave tours and they're both amazing! I was lucky enough to be in the guide Tara's group. She is really good with kids, joking around and making everything interesting! Definitely look for her if you go! There's a handful of other rides, but beware they can close without any warning. They have everything from rock climbing to a sitting Zipline to coasters and other amusement rides. If you walk around there's also a "cave simulator box". If you are above 5 ft tall and/or curvy, I would not recommend it at all. I was sent to follow my little brother so he wouldn't get scared and I struggled a lot to get through since I'm curvy, even though the sign said 6 ft and I'm 5'2 🙄. Imagine the McDonald's play places and shrink them about 10 times. And make it wooden instead of padded plastic. Yeah. The entire place is Western themed so if you like that you should definitely check it out! Overall, Glenwood Springs is nice, but pretty average. I definitely wouldn't make it more of just a stop off place on your way through Colorado. #NowIKnowVacay tip 2: Call ahead to see which attractions are open before you go to the park. Also make sure there is no rain ANYWHERE bc they will close rides at the slightest clouds/thunder. Love from Hannah 💕
