This morning, September 1st 2017, we had to put Tioh to sleep. Her condition suddenly dropped in the evening, and her belly was all bloated again. She got punctured and received many antibiotics. We really thought she was fine again. But, oh little birdies, when will you stop to hide your illnesses?
In the end, she could not even sit straight anymore. She fought. But she lost.
We talked over everything that would have been possible. Try to let her recover again, try to remove her oviduct..
We could have tried, but she was already too weak. We did not want her to feel pain anymore. So we decided it’s the best for her to let her go.
Tioh got 2 and a half year old, which is nothing for a budgie.
We tried to offer her a bright and happy life. She was living in a bird room with her six friends and her loving partner Fyn, who will be missing her dearly for sure.
You might know her from her Nut-pictures.
She loved to rest in there. (Or simply have a look in my ‘Tioh tag’)
Out of the 4 girls, she was the one who flew best, the one who sang the best songs. We were always joking and saying it was her dream to become a professional singer. :)
Anyway, with losing Tioh, we’ve lost a part of a very special world. It might sound weird for many people, but 70% of our daily conversations revolve around the birds. We make up many stories, like giving them jobs and let them go on adventures.
Tioh. You moved in together with Yara. Yara already left me two years ago, but the two of you were the closest friends ever.
You’ll meet her again now, my little beauty.
We love you. Thank you for being a part of our lifes.
