i believe one of the reasons your innocence of brutality fanfic is so popular is because it reads like an oc fanfic story. i find, today, a lot of people are intimidated by oc fanfics so they settle for the simple x reader. I’ve been reading lord of the rings fanfiction since the movies first came out and this is what I have noticed.

I find my OC fics don’t get as much traction as my x reader stuff nowadays, but I feel like I can always go more in depth in OC fics. Personally I believe my OC fic is stronger than my one shots.
