tinycrewbigraffle: As promised, I'm posting the amazing #ofmd #bts pictures (with permission!) @linds_cantrell sent us to go with some of our #TinyCrewBigRaffle interview questions and her answers. Amy: Can you share with us any of your favourite hidden details that maybe even the most eagle-eyed of watchers might have missed, or, never made it into the final edit? Linds: Hm, at this point I'm almost positive I've shared a lot, if not all, of my behind the scenes treats on my Instagram account already @linds_cantrell, , but I loved sharing so much that I do have it all saved in an OFMD highlight! If/when anyone wants to go relive it. (And please do! I've gone through myself and it really does highlight quite a bit). I do have one more though! Did you notice that the below deck of The Revenge is the same set as the below deck of The Red Flag? You can see it best in the scene where Stede & Lucius are facing each other around that towel cart. Pause the scene and look at the column in between them. You'll notice we added those little carved wooden decorative detail pieces- attached to the top and the ceiling, took out the sleeping bags, changed the light fixtures, rotated the stairs, and bam!, different set. I also want to add a "hidden detail" that was brought to my attention as well. A fan had pointed out that in the beginning of the season, we had shown Ed trapped behind his broken glass window of The Revenge thinking he's alone and unlovable, looking out to sea, and then matched it to him at the end standing with Stede on the porch of their Inn, now having a broken glass window behind him. Alluding to him knowing he's loved and free and will never be trapped again. I was the one that quickly cracked that glass outside the Inn before we shot it, just so that the shot looked cooler, to be honest, ha. So I loved getting that fan theory brought to my attention. It's always fun working on something and throwing a last minute detail together that ends up being noticed as "important" to the story. Read the full interview on our Substack

Hey lovelies! First of all! Happy S2 Anniversary!
I know this is a day late, sorry about that! There's been a lot of chatter over some of the things that David said yesterday-- some folks took it as OFMD was not getting an s3, some people took it as still quite hopeful! I gotta say, I'm loving how much it's given us all something to focus on again. We get to celebrate OFMD-- we get to speculate. I realize it's not a "hey s3 is happening!" but it's hopeful, and what is life without hope? It's kraken era, it's gravy basket, and HOPE is what pulls us OUT of those places! So go out and clown/honk and celebrate if you want to! Take every tweet from David as a good thing! If you don't want to-- that's okay too! But with so many months of "hey we've reached the end of the road" looming over us, it feels like a good thing to think there's going to "most if not all of us would do it again in a heartbeat". This fandom wears hope well, at least I think so. Alright, I'm already late so I'm gonna shush. I hope you all had a lovely anniversary, and the beginning of this week treats you with nothing but kindness lovelies. Take care of yourselves <3
Back again with another donated prize! This time we have the most adorable zine I've ever seen! AND IT'S POP-UP!
Ollie @lumiilys has sent in this amazing pop-up zine as another runner's up prize!

Thank you so much for your generous donation Ollie! Your art, everything from kitty Ed to Mermaid Stede (and all the Gentlebeard in between), is honestly some of the cutest around! I also spied some art with Ed and his pearl necklace!!
Note: There is another page in this zine!! We'll leave that a secret until the prizes are drawn for and shipped out. But, think moonlight, on deck, tender moments, maybe a bit of fine red fabric.

== Love Notes ==
Hey there lovelies! Well getting two out in one day didn't work out, so I will try to make sure I'm catching up with 2 days at time as much as I can over the next few days! I have a very important question to ask you-- and that is, have you laughed today? Did you know laughter can reduce anxiety, and stress, stimulate your lungs, heart and muscles? It's actually pretty damn awesome how much a good old fashioned guffaw can make us feel better. Is there something you know for a fact will make you laugh? (For me it's silly cat videos, or Stede boarding the tiny fisherman's boat in the pilot of the hit series OFMD). Maybe it's stand up comedy-- or puns, or dark humor. Whatever it is that tickles your funny bone, I would request that today you go and just partake in some giggles. They can be small, or big, but do something that makes you laugh <3 Below are some things that have given me some giggles in the past. I hope if nothing else they give you a smile. Sending so many hugs lovelies. I'm thinking of you <3

tinycrewbigraffle: As promised, I'm posting the amazing #ofmd #bts pictures (with permission!) @linds_cantrell sent us to go with some of our #TinyCrewBigRaffle interview questions and her answers. Amy: What set or scene would you say showcased your work the best? Linds: Ah, another hard one. It's a toss up, but I'm going to say Zheng's headquarters. The main difference in working this position in New Zealand verses Los Angeles is the fact that NZ has no union. There isn't one set job you're meant to do with your title; you can, in theory, work within your whole department if you wanted, and even on set assist other departments if you wanted. Not the case in LA. Also the amount of "order" that a set has. If you work in LA long enough, you start to understand that a lot of your bosses don't like seeing cables to lamps or TVs, and want the picture car to have a clean windshield. I quickly found in NZ it's more about "what's natural". Which I'll say, I do enjoy a lot more. Those things are real life. However, in Zheng's headquarters, it was custom in that culture to have order. I tried to make sure when the camera was entering straight through the main entryway, her desk was centered on the staircase behind her. Her book centered on the table. As well as, the side tables were exactly evenly spaced beside her. I love that level of OCD when it calls for it. Each candle was placed specifically, each tiny ship on the map, each roll of paper and book in her shelves and baskets, were placed in a way of always thinking "organized". Organized chaos. Practical Info
What could I win? One of seven authentic Our Flag Means Death tiny boat props as pictured on our Social Media accounts. These are tiny boats that were damaged on their trip to the UK from Aotearoa New Zealand, but have been repaired for this raffle. Each winner will be assigned a tiny boat at random - no requests regarding preference will be accepted.
How do I enter?
Make a donation to any of the 7 recipient charities. Every value of £5 / US $5 / €5 equals one entry, e.g., you would receive 2 entries for a donation of £10 to a single charity OR 2 separate donations of £5 to 2 different charities (this applies to any of the listed currencies).
Complete the Raffle Entry form with your proof of donation - this must include: name, donation amount and currency, and time and date of donation. Any other unnecessary personal or financial information can be redacted. You must complete the entry form before the close of the raffle for your entry to be valid.
How much is one entry if my currency isn’t £ / US$ / € ? If your currency is not USD, GBP, or EURO, the number of entries you receive will be based on the amount you donated, converted into the charity's currency using the exchange rate at the time of your donation. Each entry will equal the donation amount in the charity's currency. For example, a donation of $9 CAD to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is equivalent to £5 and will count as one entry. Where is the entry form? https://forms.gle/kTLhXyApmZGid44Y7
How many times can I enter? As many times as you like! There is no limit to the number of times you can donate across the raffle period or complete the entry form with new / unsubmitted donations.
When can I enter? The raffle is now open for entries!
When does the raffle close? 23:59 Thursday 21st November 2024 (GMT)
When will we know the winners? The winners will be announced between Friday 22nd November and Sunday 24th November 2024. We are working on something special for this, but we can’t share details until we are certain we can make it happen. Full details of when and how we will announce the winners will be shared across our social media accounts and via our email updates when they are confirmed.
If I win, how will I receive my Tiny Boat? Amy or Christina (depending on your location) will ship you your tiny boat, at no cost to you, with tracking. All winners will be contacted directly by email for your preferred mailing address - if you do not reply within 14 days a replacement winner will be selected. If you are attending the Republic of Pirates convention and win, you can collect your tiny boat in person (proof of identity will be required). For all tiny boats sent by post, tracking information will be shared once sent.
What is a Gift Entry? Anyone who is unable to donate can sign up to potentially receive a Gift Entry. These are entries donated by those ineligible to enter or donated by anyone who wishes to Gift an entry. (Gift Entries will be assigned at random, and anyone who makes a donation will not qualify to receive a Gift Entry. If you were on the Gift Entry list, and then made a donation at a later time, your name will be removed from the Gift Entry list.)
Where do I sign up for a Gift Entry? https://forms.gle/Rod2M45aPTWmq5nT6
How do I donate a Gift Entry? Complete the standard Entry Form (https://forms.gle/kTLhXyApmZGid44Y7) and select the Gift Entry option in Section 2 to Gift your entire donation or a single Raffle Entry from your donation.
Where is the list of charities? Our Charity Pack - containing the full charity details and links to donate - can be viewed / downloaded here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Xy4sOhWRUXgseKB_PcT_znCTsSDdVLus?usp=drive_link
Can I donate to a different charity? For a valid Raffle Entry, your donation must be made to one of the 7 selected recipient charities as listed on our social media and in the Charity Pack here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Xy4sOhWRUXgseKB_PcT_znCTsSDdVLus?usp=sharing
Do I have to donate to all of the charities? No. You can make your donation(s) in any way you want, be this to a single charity or multiple. The number of entries you receive is based on the total amount you donate.
What is a Bonus Entry? We will be awarding bonus entries for the following:
• If you donate to all 7 charities you will receive 1 bonus entry
• Sharing publicly on social media (with OFMD.Buys.Boats tagged or linked) after making a donation. Please indicate in the Entry Form where you intend to share so we can track your Bonus Entry. You can share and tag as many times as you like, but you will only receive 1 bonus entry total from sharing.
How can I win an entry? We will be running a competition to win entries to the raffle, launching on Saturday 26th October, across our social media accounts.
Who is not eligible to win? Any member of the original Tiny Crew (people who already have Tiny Boats from the original auction) will not be able to win, but will still be able to donate / Gift an entry. See Rules for disqualification criteria.
Can I still donate if I don’t want to win a Tiny Boat? Yes! We want to have an accurate total of how much money we have raised for each charity when the raffle closes so please still complete the entry form. In Section 2 either select to make your donation a Gift Entry or select the No Entry option.
FAQ
When will you announce how much was raised? As soon as possible after the close of the raffle, date and time to be confirmed.
Can I win more than once? No. If a name is drawn for a second a time, a replacement will be immediately drawn.
You said the Tiny Boats have been repaired, how damaged are they? All Tiny Boats have been repaired using their original parts - no replacements have been made. Photographs of each prize is available on all our social media accounts.
How have the charities been selected? We are committed to supporting charities that are meaningful to the cast and crew of Our Flag Means Death, whether they’re ones they have selected for us or have supported through their own fundraising efforts.
We have been in direct contact with Lindsey Cantrell (maker of the Tiny Boats and S2 On Set Dresser), Megan Vertelle (S2 Set Decorator) and Con O’Neill (Izzy Hands), who have all nominated the charities we are supporting in their name.
Additionally, the Tiny Crew Big Raffle team have selected:
• Cure Kids NZ, on behalf of Taika Waititi (Ed Teach / Blackbeard), previously supported.
• Kitten Rescue LA, on behalf of Rhy Darby (Stede Bonnet), which he currently supports through kitten fostering, and donated a signed cast photo to their recent fundraising auction.
• World Central Kitchen, on behalf of David Jenkins (Pirate Daddy), which he has supported on IG.
Why only 7 and not a charity for each of the main cast? Honestly, we'd have loved to. The Our Flag Means Death cast and crew have supported so many great charities, but, we want to raise a meaningful amount for the ones chosen for this raffle. Our initial list had over 16 charities, and that wasn't even all of them!
How do I know this isn’t a scam? We will never ask for any money for Raffle Entries to be sent to us! All donations are to be made directly to the selected charities using their donation platforms / websites. You can also see from our Instagram post history (https://www.instagram.com/ofmd.buys.boats/) various Tiny Boats out in the wild with their new Co-Captains.
Can I help? If you would like to help, signal boosting (sharing) the raffle is always welcome! You can find a selection of graphics by following the Shareable Media link in our profile, which will continue to be updated.

tinycrewbigraffle: As promised, I'm posting the amazing #ofmd #bts pictures (with permission!) @linds_cantrell sent us to go with some of our #TinyCrewBigRaffle interview questions and her answers. Amy: What was the most challenging or difficult set up you had to work on? Linds: Oh that's an easy one- 100% the destruction of The Revenge. Is there any other option? Beyond the obvious, the reason this was more challenging than it needed to be was also due to scheduling. We shot it, everything was great, moved on, cleaned the ship for the next few days of work, and then guess what- we had pickup shots we found out they still needed to shoot from the mess. So we had printed out my photos and somehow did it all over again to match. We all took more showers than necessary that week. But I still loved that they used an overhead shot to capture it all, plus all of the other different angles onboard to see "through" some of the destruction objects etc. ...I also need to shout out my own sanity for keeping up with the lighting and re-lighting adventure that was Spanish Jackie's.
