The tip of her nose brushed the soaked tender skin of your shoulder, before pressing her lips on to it. They lingered there, brushing against your neck until you fully leaned your back against her body. The steam rising within the walls made you sleepy, but you were less tired now. Her hands were so carefully and knowingly touching you that you believed she could wash away the sorrows embedded into your skin along the years. Light scents of almond and rasberry bubbles ran down your knees and shoulders, your eyes could relax in the dim light coming from the candle.

“I..I don’t know. What makes me deserving, or makes me loveable. But when I’m with you all feels well.”

You tried to relax your throat, talk to her so you could maybe make her understand even the tiniest amount of your gratitude you had for her. It wasn’t understandable, not something to grasp, not something to comprehend. A feeling that surpassed all laws, an eternal unshaped raw and pure serene feeling. Your hands scooped up the tip of the mountain of bubbles, playing with it absentmindedly. Her arms came to rest on your stomach beneath the water.

“Do you like the candle? Dina said she tried a different oil blend that she deported from Brazil. A little custom gift for your true connoisseur olfactory epithelium.”

“…It’s hard being engaged with a doctor, the language barrier is concerning.” You murmured, your soft smile could be heard in the words you spoke. It was something Ellie truly adored hearing.

“No barrier can’t be unconstructed by me for you.”

“Not even old-factory-epic-helium?”

“…It’s what detects scent inside of your nose, no it can’t put any barrier between us. Surely I could get my tongue in there.”

“Ewww Ellie.” You scrunched your nose in slight disgust and amusement.
