Eddie Munson and Steve Harrington met on a gay dating app. At least, that's the story they tell people they don't know. They kept everything hush-hush, not wanting to jinx it, and neither has posted anything on social media. But now there's something they'd like to share with the world, and what's gong on would be obvious to anyone who stumbled across these startlingly familiar silhouettes.

It's been years since they saw the old gang, and their friends are scattered internationally so the chances of anyone seeing this are slim. Plus, they each have their own profiles already, so nobody will be looking for a new one. But clues are there, and they know a lot of their friends are very good at solving puzzles…

First, there's the username: King+Master85. Probably obvious to those that know them, but possibly sounding more like a new kitchenware brand to anyone else. 

Then there's the pictures. The first is a shot from behind, two guys in gorgeous, well fitting suits. One black Devore, the satin of a red shirt just visible beneath his messy updo, the other a stunning cobalt blue with a pristine white collar, standing together in front of a decorative arch. Could be anyone, right?

Next, there's a picture of large, strong-looking hands. Black nail polish and chunky silver rings gently clasp golden skin and subtle moles, the two of them jointly scooping into a giant pile of ice cream decorated with jelly hearts and sugar flowers. So they have a penchant for desserts, and eschew forced conformity. Again, that doesn't really narrow it down.

But the last is a (frankly, stunning) shot of a beautiful pair of men, backlit by a golden sunset as they smile and press their lips together in a fond embrace. Their eyes are closed, and long dark locks and caramel tresses are partially obscuring them both thanks to a timely breeze, but this is the clincher. Not least because a dimple is just visible, as are moles on the edge of a jaw. Things that their friends would never forget...

It's all pretty vague, yet identifiable if anyone knew them. They wonder whether anyone will spot it, what will happen when they do. It's not like they've been screaming about their relationship from the rooftops, and some people may well take offence at being the last to know. It's been wonderful to officialise their love without expectations, and though it would've been lovely to have everyone there with them, the idea of organising something so massive filled them both with dread. 

They've curated all the pictures, they just need to post them. They're hesitating, hovering over their keyboard, concerned that their old acquaintances will be annoyed that they ran off to do this without any warning or invitation. They're hoping the giant party they're planning to throw when they get back from their honeymoon will pacify anyone who's particularly chagrined.

They can't decide whether their friends’ enthusiasm or ire will be the best or worst thing to happen to them, possibly garnering feelings of love and guilt in equal measure, but eventually they muster the courage, lower their fingers, and jointly press… publish.
