I finished the book :DD
Look how tiny it is!
This was really fun, lots of math and I fucked up on some parts but over all it turned out great. I'm really happy especially since it's my first time book binding.
I tried to put in as much as yellow as I can while still trying to make it look like just some old red book. Also snuck in the symbol of the king in yellow :)
Miniature magic school.
I modified this kit to remove any specific reference to the boy wizard and added lots of plants, mushrooms, and a potion making station. I'm envisioning a world where kids go to afterschool magic tutoring to improve their skills.
[3.5 inches wide x 2.5 inch tall x 2 inches deep; modified Cute Room’s “Magical Fate” kit]
The Disappearance of Madam Wen by EHyde
Tiny book! This is a 5000-word trans Wen Ruohan fic that I wrote a couple of years ago, and I decided to bind it using some leftover materials from other projects. It's so small I couldn't fit the full title on the spine, but I didn't want to simply shorten it, so I went with a strikethrough as a compromise.
This tiny (A7) octavo contains a short story written by my friend.
It pays homage to Steven King, so besides the claw marks on the covers that were requested by the author, I added some to the page corners.
A nice little horror story, and a fun project.
Note to self: Clairefontaine vellum is only good for smaller books because literally half the page has huge transparent watermarks. Otherwise very nice paper.

My first REALLY tiny book, a bind of Four of Swords. A sextodecimo! This lil guy is about 3" x 2 1/4" and is bound with actual cards from the miniature edition RWS deck. Because of the fun tarot imagery I'd been wanting to bind this one, but it's so short, just about 5000 words, so it had to go really little :3
Printed on pop-tone white from French, spine and sword detail done with HTV. I printed the main narrative in black and the flashbacks in blue, for visual separation, and the endpapers are of artwork done for this fic by the incredible @sandwichartistdatzu !!
A tiny stitched book.
Rats in the walls - H. P. Lovecraft
More details of my binding of Rats in the Walls. The fish leather was rather rough looking but the dying and coated the surface so I could easily polish it a bit with an agate burnisher, smoothen the surface while enhancing the scale pattern on it. I also had a lot of fun with the typeset.
The size of the finished bind is roughly A8.
