[Album + Video + live] Tinlicker kündigen neues Album "Dreams Of The Machine" an!
Tinlicker kündigen ihr viertes Album "Dreams Of The Machine" an, das am 27. Februar digital über [PIAS] Électronique erscheint (physisch am 12. Juni). Zusammen mit der Ankündigung veröffentlichen die Drei die neue Single "Release". Tinlickers erste große Tournee als Trio beginnt Anfang März in der Berliner Columbiahalle.
Tinlickers Umstellung auf ausschließliche Live-Auftritte und ihr langjähriges Bekenntnis zu melodischem, organischem Einsatz von Live-Instrumenten, gefühlvollen Vocals und Texten, emotionalen Indie-Gitarren und orchestralen Elementen, machen sie zu den idealen Kandidaten, um sich kreativ mit der Gegenwart und Zukunft der KI in der elektronischen Musik und in unserem täglichen Leben auseinanderzusetzen – „Where is the boundary between human and machine? Can we create a world in which both exist in harmony, organic and digital?”
Die wellenförmigen melodischen Arpeggios in der neuen Single "Release" werden von einem halllastigen Bass und einem schnellen, breakigen Beat überlagert und werden so zu energiegeladenem Dance-Fuel. Das Thema des Textes spiegelt die Struktur wider, da Spannungsaufbau und Stimmungswechsel den potenziellen Konflikt zwischen Menschen und dem Einfluss von KI-gesteuerten Algorithmen zum Ausdruck bringen. „At its heart, ‘Release’ is about how easily we slip out of the moment without noticing. The habit of checking, fixing and responding instantly on our phones and how that slowly takes over our attention to each other. We're not anti-technology, perhaps just quietly aware of what disappears when distraction becomes automatic.”
