dude i feel you i cant count how many different prescriptions i've had from when i was 7 to now honestly like a different one ever year my eyes are terrible!!!

wait wait waaiiit thats a thing? ever since i can remember ive had trouble with numbers and could never add simple things in my head!! i would get anxiety attacks @ school when we had 2 do mental math holy shit!!!!

my mum had it and we're pretty sure i have it, except getting tested costs a lot. i had to take my maths GCSE 3 times before i passed, and i was 18 when i eventually did. like, this is an obligatory certificate that pretty much everyone has to have and 15 year olds are smart enough to pass it.

it's very frustrating because a lot of people (my dad included) just seem to think we're... not trying hard enough? we're not paying enough attention? or give up too easily? because maths and numbers are such a fixed thing people who are good at it don't understand how someone could fundamentally not Get It.

but yeah it's such a relief when you can talk about it with someone and they take it seriously.

the other frustrating thing is when ur like 'i'm bad at maths' and people are like 'me too!' and it's like no u don't understand. i don't mean bad as in kinda sucky i mean like it's a total number blindness thing that effects my everyday life

(i have no concept of time - i can't tell how long 5 minutes is and if you ask me how long it'll be until i get somewhere i can't tell you - i can contextualise large numbers (when people r like 'what would u do with ____ large amount of money' i'm like i don't know becaues i can't comprehend how much that is) - really simple adding is hard, i can't picture numbers in my head very well so if u ask me 5 + 7 i literally won't know - i hate paying with change because i always add it up wrong even when i've counted it 5 times and i can't count when other people are talking - just like. endless things that should be easy that are just such a huge mountain to climb it's ridiculous.)

they said it like "whateverthefuckhisnameis decides to become a trans so he can go into the girls bathroom" like that isnt already what terfs think trans women are trying to do like that isnt already an awful stereotype like it doesn't already harm trans women
