Timothy’s Night Review – GameSpew
Aliens invading your city? Talk about a major inconvenience. That’s the predicament that Timothy, the titular lead character of Timothy’s Night, finds himself in. This noir-style action game takes us back to 1940s small town America, into a world where gangsters rule. Our Timothy’s a gangster too, but it’s not mobs or the police he’s got to worry about; it’s aliens. They’re everywhere. And…

So exciting that @timothys has cafe au lait! My favourite. Had a lovely day out with a friend too. Perfect. #timothys #cafeaulait #torontocoffee #suziethefoodie #foodies (at Timothy's) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bpu4CY_BF0P/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=jovekcwfpqzn
Here is the final Timothy’s App design. Since I did a lot of mockup pages for the app, I was able to just go in and pick out which ones I liked most and used them for the final. The only changes I made from the mockup was making the text slightly bolder, because at the small scale I have the pages at, the text kinda faded out and looked super slim and tiny. I’m very pleased with the design and I hope you are too!

Here is four digital renderings of my initial idea. The big blocks of colour and content stretch wide across the webpage, with large clear photos of their beverages (photo is not actually a Timothy’s beverage because I couldn’t find any good ones) and simple text. I used the Timothy’s palette as to block in and organize content, and took inspiration from the Timothy’s website to arrange the content from advertisement (beverages), to best selling blends, to an advertisement for Keurig K-Cups then the footer. I decided to include icons for the top three used social media websites to balance the footer. I kept the footer pretty much the same as their current website.
Some initial sketches. My goal with the website is to make it look new and contemporary. I started by analyzing competitor coffeeshops’ websites and found Starbucks’ style to be most inspiring. Their website stretched from edge to edge with simple colour blocks and big clear images of their beverages and simple text. It appears very sleek and feels very contemporary. I plan to take that idea and make it in Timothy’s new style. Once I felt happy with my idea I gathered content information from the Timothy’s website and narrowed down the 3 other pages I will be designing.
