He was seconds from pulling his old friend in for a hug, before he paused and took a step back. He looked at her with a mock, completely sarcastic, curious look, “...You are Xy, right?“

Midori stretched as the group headed down Route 12 in the Kalos Region.. The route was fairly quiet. So quiet in fact, that all Midori could hear were the sounds of Skiddo in the distance.
“Man this is sooo boring!“ She groaned. She threw her arms into the air and stretched again - accidentally jarring awake the Jirachi that napped on her backpack, with his head on her shoulder. Koma chattered some complaint in her ear, and flew up ahead to inspect the route.
“We’ll be in the Coumarine Harbour before long!“ Noemie reported cheerfully, “And from there, it’s just a short train ride to the Gym!“
Midori thrust a fist into the air, “Al~right! Hear that Koma? Next Gym Match, here we come!”
Koma seemed to suddenly snap back to attention, and whirled around to mimic her gesture.
Noemie watched the two of them with a soft smile, before turning to look at Xy, “Um... what about you? Are you tired yet, Xylona?” She looked at the two Mythical Pokemon, “Oh! U-um! You two should probably change before we get close to town so you don’t attract attention...” “Nah!“ Midori giggled, as Koma landed on her head and ruffled up her hair, “We’re still a ways off right? And Koma likes being in this form!“
The baby Jirachi chattered back as if agreeing with her, and then looked over at Xy as if looking for some sort of confirmation.
