Tom and Jerry Headcanons: Tim Cat
Tom's twin brother! He was merely a oneshot character in Tom and Jerry kids but I thought I could expand on him a bit more.
-For those who don’t know, Tim is Tom’s twin brother from the Tom and Jerry Kids episode ‘Fraidy Cat.’
-Tim doesn't mind that he's not well known. Means he can live a more comfortable life without people harassing him for autographs. He kind of feels a little bad for how famous Tom is due to this.
-A LOT of people mistake him to be the same character as Cousin George. He’s not. Whereas George is more nervous and timid, Tim is a lot more boisterous, bold, and loud, especially more than Tom (also owing to the fact that Tim speaks a LOT more than either of them). The quickest way to get him annoyed is to say he’s just another “copy” of either Tom or George.
-He USED to look identical to Tom like in his debut but sick of being mistaken for his “brother,” he paid an animator under the table to make some noticeable changes in his design. Now, while he still looks like Tom, he’s no longer completely identical to him.
-Tim’s favorite color isn’t yellow like his hat in ‘Fraidy Cat’ showed. It’s orange. He really likes the energetic nature of orange compared to other colors.
-Unlike Cousin George, he’s not actually scared of mice. What he IS scared of is clowns. They freak him out.
-Tim currently works as an electrician in Toontown. He has a reputation for managing to fix the problem...at the cost of several existing lightbulbs.
-Tim has an EXCELLENT aim! He loves playing games that allow him to showcase this, like darts, shuffleboard, and billiard/cue sports.
-Strangely though, while he's good at aiming, he has literally NO strength in his arm for long distances. That means when it comes to games like frisbee and cornhole...he's outta luck there.
-Since his Toonforce is greatly weakened (and having been a oneshot character) he’s not a kid anymore and is much older. He’s managed to put his Toonforce into stopping the aging to be around Tom’s age…but this has left him severely drained and tired half the time.
-He’s not all that close with Tom, as both prefer to live his own lives. Obviously, Tom checks up on him every once in a while to make sure he’s not faded but that’s as far as it goes.
-On the other hand, he’s VERY close with his “sister” Thomasina ‘Tam’ Cat! They keep in close contact and Tim is the go to watcher for Baby Booties (Tam’s son, both Baby Booties and Tam are from the episode Babysitting Blues in Tom and Jerry Tales) when Tam isn’t around.
-On the very rare times he sees Jerry Mouse, they get along well! Their similar personalities mean they can find a lot in common rather than clashing over minor issues.
