The Songwriting Camp in Barcelona was a wild ride. So much talent, drive and perspiration in one place! I really did love being surrounded by people who were as ambitious as I am. That’s me standing with Jon Kelly, who’s worked with Kate Bush, Paul McCartney and Freddie Mercury. He’s such a lovely guy, and every day we’d make a crack about how important pizza is, because truly, it is important. He is incredibly humble, and honestly that’s something I could use a little more of. Tee hee. I’ve already worked with one of the fellow producers from the camp, and we’ve got a banging song out for the next album, so alone has made it worth it for me. Sometimes it was loud and bawdy and honestly I loved it. There was a jacuzzi at our villa, and what happened there was better than anything you could see on Netflix! :D Songwriting in big groups is not always easy though, there can be ego clashes, differences of opinion, people wanting to be dominant etc. which can be quite hard to deal with; but I suppose it teaches you how to keep your own ego in check and your spirit balanced. I’ve made one or two REALLY good friends, and that to me is priceless.
