With Nera, she usually keeps busy to avoid having a silent moment like described, because when she’s not keeping herself occupied with research or possible plans or gun mods or whathaveyou, her thoughts tend to gravitate towards her failures.

She has a hard time focusing solely on one thing, save for one thing: She is very easily able to think about the various ways that she’s fucked up. She thinks a lot about things she could have or should have done better, or how she’s not where she’s supposed to be in her life. Usually, she can keep those thoughts from sticking around by promising herself to do better. Sometimes she thinks about these things too long, however, and the longer she thinks about them, the harder it is for her to pull herself out of there. When she’s with Karsus, it gradually starts to become almost, and eventually totally impossible to pull herself back up. Nera’s headspace isn’t a pleasant place to be and Karsus constantly bringing her insecurities to the forefront hardly helps lol

For Delani, she’s usually thinking about plans. Delani is a very long-sighted individual and although she’s more than capable of improvising, she’d much rather avoid having to improvise if possible. She tends to think about how much progress she’s made either overall and whatever she’s been currently doing, and essentially critiques herself, not in a self-loathing manner like Nera does but instead in a more positive manner. Mostly because she’s actually successful at the things she strives for lol

She thinks about her relations to the people around her, often coming up with ways to either stay or get in their favor, as well. Despite the fact that she often works alone, she acknowledges this as important and, well, she likes being on good terms with people as well.

On a lighter note(Not that this was super-heavy or anything), she thinks about clothes and what fab outfit she wants to wear to various events. Delani fuckin’ loves clothes and strives to constantly look amazing.

Phaedrius more often than not is thinking of work. Of various projects that she’s working on and what she currently needs to get done on them, and how she’s going to do it. Of new designs she has in mind, or an idea for a prototype she wants to make. Also like, Delani, Phae often tries to look as fab as possible, so she’s often thinking of what she wants to wear to wherever or whatever as well. 

Sometimes, unfortunately, her thoughts wander away from work and get a lot darker, however, and it’s usually a sign that she’s going to probably be having a bad day rather soon. Phae’s lost a lot in her lifetime, so sometimes it’s hard not to think about those losses.Like the so-called friends that she’s drifted out of contact with, or the fact that she still has no idea what actually happened to her fiance who went missing years ago. Or the fact that she can never really relax when it comes to her mental health, and how she’ll never be able to stay unmedicated without repercussions and how she really, really wishes she could.

Thankfully these thoughts are few and far-between, but when they happen they can drag down Phae’s mood quite a bit. She tries not to bother people with these feelings, but with those who know her it can be hard not to tell when she’s feeling poorly. Usually Misandre tries to go out of her way to help lift Phae’s spirits or take her thoughts elsewhere, though this is a fairly recent development and neither of them have really figured out how to help these things.

Finally, when it comes to Tiiko…. his thoughts tend to be a lot simpler, for the most part. Usually he’s thinking of comic ideas, or working out phrases of a language he’s currently working on, or about how kawaii animals are and how it’s incredibly difficult to handle that intense level of cuteness.

Even though his thoughts are usually a way to try and escape these things, though, it’s not a rare occurrence for Tiiko’s anxiety to get the better of him and he often thinks of embarrassing thinks he’s done either recently or in the past, or if something is coming up how he’s possibly going to mess up future encounters as well. ‘Cause anxiety is fun like that lol

Neralya:

Currently, the only sort of relationship Nera is looking for, if she's even looking for anything at all, is something very casual. Maybe not just a one-night stand, exactly but a not-exactly-friends-but-still-with-benefits kind of deal is her personal preference. Not that one night stands are bad. And not that it's happening either way lolol

Anyway, her need to keep people at a distance extends far enough to where even if she somehow did develop the desire for more with someone, she'd still keep it casual out of a need to, well, maintain that distance.

As for general sexuality, I'd describe Nera as a bisexual with a very definite female/asari preference. Possibly pansexual, she doesn't really care what you've got going on downstairs as long as you know what to do with it. Bisexual is the label she uses, though. Not that she actually cares.

For the type of person... just be attractive. That's literally it. Being smart or clever and having a sense of humor and being okay with her murderous streak might help you out in the long run, but when it comes to Nera, I wouldn't go into things expecting there to BE a long run. So for the most part, just being attractive will work.

Does 'space station' count as a type of weather condition? 'Cause if it does, that's what Nera's most comfortable in. She hasn't been planetside very many times, so any sort of extreme in weather makes her either uncomfortable, terrified or full of complaints.If space station doesn't count, though, a clear, warm night sky would be acceptable.

L-O-L. Well, considering Nera is a mercenary and regularly gets paid to kill people, I think it's safe to say that she has no problems with it so long as she's not on the receiving end of things. Truth be told, Nera even enjoys killing, and it's kind of a weird security/power thing for her, and while she won't do it randomly she certainly won't hesitate, either. In her eyes, the more people that are dead, the less people there are to fuck her over. That... sort of improves, with time, but even after said improvements she's still kind of a psychopath lol

A lot more than she'd like to admit, certainly. There's her doctor fear, definitely, and Nera is afraid of thunderstorms and extreme weather as well.

On a deeper level, though Nera is incredibly afraid of rejection. There are a lot of things that she hates- failure, being alone- but the one thing she's actually afraid of above all else is someone she regards highly and respects the opinion of outright rejecting her.

Note the 'regards highly' part. If she doesn't think much of someone, she doesn't care too much what they think of her one way or another. It's only people she cares about/respects that instill the fear in her.

Nera's mind goes like 100000 miles a minute and rarely ever stops. Sometimes she finds it hard to focus on just one thing, and if she doesn't have some sort of goal or project right in front of her she can skip from subject to subject without getting very far in anything. This is more prominent when she's at home by herself, and in fact a lot of the times she tries and keeps herself busy because of it. And when her mind is left to wander too long it inevitably falls into self-loathing.

When she's out and about, though, her thoughts tend to be very survival-oriented: "If something happened right now, what would my best escape routes be?", "Is that guy shifty-looking because he's up to something or is he just on drugs?", and "If that guy was a threat and I threw that crate at his head, if I used a force of 500 newtons, would that kill him or would just incapacitate him? Maybe if I got the angle right I could get away with less.."

You know, girly things like that.

Tiiko:

Unlike Nera, Tiiko prefers his relationships to be more long-term. Like Nera, he's not actively looking for someone, though, but when he does find someone he tends to try and stick it out for the long haul.

Considering he's single, you can see that hasn't worked out so far, but he's not in any particular rush(particularly after how his last relationship ended) and he's not concerned about not finding someone.

Sexuality-wise, he's straight, but fairly open-minded as far as gender stuff goes. To put it in perspective, he's not the threesome type usually, but if say, his lady partner wanted to include a dude into the mix I don't think Tiiko would be like 'EWW HE HAS A DICK THO NO HOMO'. He's also willingly gone on a date with a guy before out of curiosity, though ultimately decided dudes weren't his thing. But yeah. Straight, but open-minded.

For what he wants in a partner... well, patience, for one. Tiiko's got a lot of anxiety problems and it'd take him quite a bit to open up to someone fully. But other than that mostly he just wants someone who isn't crazy and hasn't stalked him at any point, someone mild-tempered who isn't afraid to say what they want but isn't out for a fight either. Also being cute and tiny are pluses for Tiiko, though not strictly necessary. The non-crazy part is, however.

Tiiko's preferred weather is a mild, sunshine-y day with a slight breeze, though he also finds light rain to be fairly relaxing. He's actually not too picky about weather, though, considering he stays inside quite a bit, though sometimes with being on the Citadel he misses having weather from time-to-time.

Tiiko, being the normal person that he is, and NOT being a psychopath, is... not so casual about murder. In fact he's very much appalled by the act, he doesn't like the idea of taking another life and even with his brief military training, I don't think he'd really be able to. Not unless he absolutely had to, and even then he'd hesitate and would be extremely shaken up about it afterwards

Interactions with large groups of people, definitely. Although Tiiko can pretend that he's okay, if somewhat awkward fairly well, his anxiety makes interacting with crowds and speaking publicly a disaster on his nerves. He tries to avoid it at all costs and can't stand it in the least.

He's also afraid of being stalked or watched without his knowledge due to some unfortunate past experiences, and the thought can make him paranoid and a bit physically ill at times if he thinks on it too hard.Beyond that his fears are pretty normal- fear of losing those he loves, fear of death, etc..

☂ = Weather the character enjoysPhae prefers her weather to be slightly chilly, having grown up on Altakiril, and actually she likes snow quite a bit. If she can't get snow, though, she likes heavy rain quite a bit. The sound of it is soothing to her.

† = How the character feels about murderPhae is kind of a middle ground between Tiiko and Nera. While she certainly doesn't ENJOY murder- far from it, she finds it abhorrent- she's not afraid to take a life if she believes the situation demands it.

Or at least she would be, if not for her mental illness. The fact that she's deeply afraid of being deemed dangerous and put away from the general public kind of holds her back from killing even in a dangerous situation, despite it not being something she's personally against morally. She just really doesn't want to be viewed as dangerous.

Thankfully, she's never actually had to kill anyone, and usually can be persuasive enough to deter anyone who would try to put her life in danger.

(;╹⌓╹) = What scares the characterFor Phae, it's pretty easy: losing her sanity completely and losing her independence. Phae has worked extremely hard to be able to function as normally as possible and create a life for herself, the very thought of losing that is utterly devastating to her.Also being discredited because of her illness or being viewed as dangerous and being put back in a mental hospital are some major fears for her.

(⑅ ‘﹃’ ) = What the character daydreams or thinks aboutPhae is almost constantly thinking about projects and ways to improve the various things that she's working on. Her work essentially consumes her entire being, and she rarely has time for anything else. Unless those thoughts are the intrusive hallucination kind. When she's medicated she's usually alright at picking those thoughts out and attempting to ignore them, however.

But yeah, other than that she's almost always thinking about her designs. Or occasionally other peoples' attire, particularly when she's first meeting them. She won't ever treat someone as lesser for what they're wearing, but she'll certainly make mental notes on what to improve on someone's attire should they ever ask her.
